ImageNEWS---Pulaski County Human Services, Inc. and the Town of Medaryville are partnering with Kankakee Iroquois Regional Planning Commission and Indiana Department of Rural Affairs to apply for a Community Focus Fund Grant to purchase and renovate the West Side Center located in Medaryville.  Elderly and Community Services with Transportation support have been available in Medaryville since 1974.  After over 30 years of renting space we have an opportunity to permanently have a home.  The project includes the renovation of about 2000 square feet for educational purposes such as GED, computer classes and Healthy Families parent sessions as well as a daily nutrition site offering all of our elderly services and access to energy assistance.  This facility will serve as one of two focal points PCHS uses to provide services to residents of Pulaski County.  Community partners in this venture are Pulaski Alliance for Community Education(Lily Initiative), Purdue Learning Network, Healthy Families as well as space for other nonprofits to conduct trainings and meetings.  To make this happen we need all the community support we can generate as our share of this project is $20,800!  Donations can be sent to our agency or through Pulaski County United Fund or the Pulaski County Community Foundation.  ALL donations to PCHS stay in PUlaski County to support our services.
